2008 Schedule

The SASA United '97 Boys Soccer Team were champions of the Schaumburg Soccerfest Tournament U11 Boys Red division on August 25 and 26th in Schaumburg, Illinois.  They went 1-1-1 in pool play and advanced to the championship game based on points earned.  Highlights from pool play included coming from two goals down with two minutes left in their first game to tie the game and keep their hopes of advancing alive.

In the championship game, they fell behind by a goal twice, but fought back to even the score both times.  When the game finished in a two all tie at the end of regulation, two five-minute overtime periods were played.  After a scoreless overtime the game went to a penalty kick shoot out which the SASA team won on the sixth kicker in sudden death, after the regulation shoot out ended in a four goal tie.
